typically it takes around a year to get pregnant when you are on depo, but in my case it took only 4 months. now i am 7 weeks and goign for my first appointment next wednesday.

This is true- you can only get pregnant if you are ovulating, but the thing you need to remember is that sperm can live anywhere from 3-5 days, and I have even heard that under the very best conditions it can live up to 7 days, which means that if you have sex up to 7 days before you ovulate, you can get pregnant. Also important to remember is that not every woman ovulates mid cycle every cycle. You can ovulate on day 9, and say you have a 7 day period if you have sex the lat day of your period and then ovulate on day 9, you can get pregnant. So what to do now? She can take plan B as long as it has been 72 hours or less from the time she had sex. She can get plan B at any pharmacy, and they keep it behind the counter so she will have to ask for it. If she is younger than 17 she will need a prescription from a doctor, or she can get it for free at a planned parenthood. It costs about $40. If it has been longer than 72 hours then all she can do is wait until her period is due and take a pregnancy test if it is late. Then, if she is pregnant, she can get the abortion pill or else prepare to raise a baby.

Assuming that you don’t have any underlying serious medical issues, I think the best and cheapest method is charting your cycle. There’s a book called Taking Charge of your Fertility by Toni Weschler. It teaches you how to fill in information about your cycle and pinpoint the best times to have sex to try to conceive. You’ll also need a basal body thermometer. I bought mine online for under $10. A great online free charting tool can be found at http://www.fertilityfriend.com. You can get really cheap ovulation and pregnancy tests at http://www.saveontests.com.

Charting helped me get pregnant very quickly.

I didn’t use FertilPlus, however I did use Vitex Agnus Castus which I believe is an ingredient in FertilPlus. When I came off the pill after five years, I wasn’t ovulating (according to OPKs), so right after my second period off the pill I picked up a bottle of Vitex at GNC (around $10 with tax), used it for three weeks, caught my ovulation day using my OPKs, and got a positive pregnancy test.

If I were you, I would just buy a bottle of Vitex at your local drugstore; you don’t need to order anything off a website. Most of the high priced fertility herbs like FertilPlus or FertilAid all have Vitex as their main ingredient anyway.

If you have been trying naturally for years, then you’re way overdue for a doctor’s visit. It is recommended to seek medical advice after a year of trying without success.

There could be something going with your or your partner that is preventing conception/pregnancy, but you would need to have a complete work-up to determine that for sure and to create a treatment that will help.

I’ve never heard of Ovulex, but there is one thing people seem to forget about ‘all-natural’, ‘herbal’, etc…….

Cyanide is all natural.
Arsenic is all natural.
I could go on, but I’ve made the point.

There are plenty of dangerous things that are completely one hundred percent natural so don’t be fooled by the hype! ‘Natural’ does not equal ‘good for you’.

No. Even if the pool wasn’t saltwater, or chlorinated, or anything: just water with nothing added, it would still be impossible.

Ask your GP to recommend an OBGYN to you.

You can go and see them, ask them the questions and see whether they are the right specialist for you.

I have PCOS and I am seeing a Chinese Doctor that specialises in female infertility (undergoing acupuncture and taking mixture of natural herbs).

I’ve done a bit of research and combining western medicine with natural therapy (whether it be chinese medicine or naturopathy) is a good thing. They complement one another. So, if you start undergoing fertility treatment with OBGYN I’m sure they would encourage you to continue with the natural approach.

I started off with the natural approach – but I have now decided after a few months to supplement it with western medicine – hopefully the two combined (east and west!) get the job done.

INCREDIBLY slim chance of pregnancy, though not impossible.
Sperm dies when exposed to air, so anything on your hands probably isn’t viable. Plus, you say you’re washing your hands which will get rid of it all anyway.
If he’s also washing his hands you should be perfectly fine.
The only way I’d be concerned would be if he ejaculated on his hands and then immediately fingered you afterward.
One sperm is not enough to get you pregnant – but one drop of semen is. There are about 3 million sperm in each visible drop!
